Dr. Martin Jean, first prize winner of the international Grand Prix de Chartres competition, France in 1986 and also first prize winner of the National Young Artists’ competition in 1992, is Professor of Organ and Church Music and Director of the Institute of Sacred Music at Yale University. A student of Robert Glasgow, in the fall of 1999 he spent a sabbatical with Harald Vogel in North Germany. He has performed on four continents and in nearly all fifty states. He will conduct a master class for organists on registration on Saturday, then give a concert on Sunday at Lutheran Church of the Risen Savior in Green Valley.
