Join us at Catalina United Methodist Church in Tucson at 4:00 on Saturday, September 26, to remember and celebrate Prof. Roy Johnson on the 20th anniversary of his death. Guest organists Renée Anne Louprette and Chelsea Chen will perform organ music Roy loved, as well as music written in his memory. A community chorus directed by Jonathan Kim and Woosug Kang will perform “How Lovely Is Thy Dwelling-Place” from Brahms’s German Requiem and “Lacrymosa” from Mozart’s Requiem. Donations will be accepted to support Roy Johnson Scholarship funds. Those wishing to sing in the community chorus are asked to meet in the church at 2:00 that day for a rehearsal.
