An Approach to the Orgelbüchlein – Stephen Keyl, Presenter

October 18, 3:00 p.m., online only: An Approach to Bach’s Orgelbüchlein. Stephen Keyl will speak about the origin and purpose of this famous collection of chorale settings, and will consider its contents, musical style, and performance issues. He will illustrate his talk with examples played on the Fritts organ at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church. This presentation will replace the SAAGO Zoom meeting previously announced for that day.

You can view the presentation on St. Alban’s Facebook page. You do not need to have a Facebook account. Go to and click on the square with Facebook’s “F” icon. Scroll down among the saved videos until you see the image for the presentation, click, and watch. Adjust the size of the picture and the volume of the sound to your liking—in addition to your device’s internal volume control, the Facebook window has a volume slider at the bottom of the frame.
