WELCOME TO SAAGO FROM OUR DEAN!
SAAGO, founded in 1937, is 37 members strong, with a long and rich heritage. SAAGO is a driving force in the arts in Southern Arizona and is now in its 88th season of offering quality concerts, programs, and educational events for both its membership and the greater Tucson community. The year ahead promises to be an exciting one for the performing arts here in the Old Pueblo.
Our beautiful Sonoran Desert landscape is home to many fine instruments housed in an array of architectural building styles from Spanish Mission to modern. This website features many of these instruments as well as a wealth of information including a list of events, information about membership and the Roy Johnson Scholarship, Open Positions for Organists, Pianists, Choir Directors, Music Directors, etc., as well as links to our current and archived copies of the chapter newsletter, The Cypher.
Whether visiting, planning to visit, or a part-time or full-time resident here in southern Arizona, I encourage you to venture through our website and avail yourself of the many programs and events offered by our chapter. If you are seeking membership in AGO, I warmly invite you to become a member of our wonderful SAAGO family. See you soon…
Raymond Ryder, Dean
