  • St. Andrew’s Concert Series presents The Return Engagement of Jeffrey Campbell, Organist

St. Andrew the Apostle Roman Catholic Church 800 Taylor Street, Sierra Vista, AZ, United States

JEFFREY CAMPBELL is the Associate Music Director and Principal Organist of Saint Philip's in the Hills Episcopal Church in Tucson, a position he has held since the fall of 2001. He has performed widely as a solo organist and choral accompanist, most recently accompanying the Saint Philip's Youth (St. Nicholas) Choir and Schola adults on their July 2024 Choral Residency in Lincoln Cathedral, UK, where they sang Daily Choral Evensong and Sunday Choral Eucharist. He plays the organ for Sunday morning Choral Eucharist, as well as weekly Choral Evensong (the only Episcopal parish in Arizona to continue this tradition) as well as for the many additional liturgies of Christmas, Holy Week and Easter. Other recent solo engagements include a program at Saint Alban's Church, Tucson, as part of their organ series, where he shared the organ bench with their Emeritus organist, Steven Keyl.

For his return engagement at St. Andrew’s, Jeffrey will be presenting “A Panorama of Organ Music from Bach to Franck and Beyond…” Featuring the music of J. S. Bach, Dietrich Buxtehude, Cesar Franck, Louis Vierne and Georgi Mushel.

  • SAAGO Educational Series: “Look, Ma, No Hands!” Using ForScore Presented by Dr. Valerie Harris

Catalina United Methodist Church 2700 E. Speedway Blvd., Tucson, AZ, United States

    Saturday, October 17, 2026 10AM
    Catalina United Methodist Church
    2700 E. Speedway Blvd.
    Tucson, AZ

Dr. Harris presents a workshop on using ForScore, the sheet music digital app designed exclusively for iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and visionOS. The app's clean interface gives you quick access to the tools you need, then fades away so you can focus on your music. Musicians can use the app to digitally organize their music libraries; turn pages via screen taps, custom gestures, or hands-free with a Bluetooth pedal. This amazingly powerful app allows one to annotate, create setlists, rearrange pages, add bookmarks, play along to an audio track, and more with an abundance of tools to help you turn practice into performance.

This all sounds complicated; however, Dr. Harris breaks the app down into understandable parts in her presentation with demonstrations of how the app works. More and more musicians are using tablets these days rather than carrying around suitcases filled with scores and lead sheets; therefore, this is a presentation YOU WILL NOT WANT TO MISS!!
